One on One: Mr Song Hoi-see

CEO, Plaza Premium Group

Never give up on your vision
It’s possible to start with nothing: as long as you have a unique idea, courage to succeed, passion and perseverance, you can do anything. It’s about staying observant, creating win-win situations and keeping an eye out for hidden opportunities.

Enjoy every minute

I love the airport atmosphere and travelling is a huge part of my life. To be successful in the travel industry, which is essentially part of the service sector, you have to have a true passion for taking care of and looking out for others. As the saying goes: love what you do and you’ll never do a day’s work in your life.

Prepare to plan or plan to fail
Working in the travel industry means that you’ll inevitably work with colleagues in different time zones, so it’s important always to be prepared. I never travel without a watch programmed to the different time zones of all the countries we operate in so I can constantly keep in contact with my network of colleagues.

Always aspire to be better
Since the beginning I’ve had my sights set high. I always look to the long term and am constantly thinking of ways we can do more while maintaining our quality of service. It is of utmost importance that I stay focused, detailed and meticulous in my research. I remain a man with a plan and a vision that stretches far into the horizon.
