Seats: The grey leather seats are in a 2×2 formation throughout. The 18.2-inch seat width is perfectly adequate and the 32-inch pitch felt very comfortable for the short hop over to Frankfurt. The plastic on the seats was a little old and grubby, and when I took the magazine out of the seat back in front of me, a piece of the metal trim came off in my hand and couldn’t be fitted on again.
Food & drink: We were offered a choice of a turkey sandwich or a pastry: the sandwich seemed a bit incongruous on a 10am flight, so I went for the pastry, which was fine. Hot and soft drinks were also offered.
Entertainment: Not much in the way of entertainment on this short flight, which is aimed at business travellers, but Lufthansa Magazin, which is in English and German, has some good destination features and excellent colour photography.
Service: Check in was very easy online but the bag drop was rather slow at City Airport as it was busy. On the flight, the cabin crew were really friendly and particularly nice to some small children who were sitting near me — the crew went out of their way to entertain and chat to them.
