Farida Zeynalova checks into the five-star hotel with a five-star view, in the heart of Zambia’s breathtaking Victoria Falls
The showstopper attraction at this five-star hotel is the location, overlooking the magnificent Victoria Falls. On my first night, I sit on the sundowner deck and watch the mist of the falls in the distance, with the calls of Zambia’s wildlife as the soundtrack. The hotel has a colonial style — safari-like lodges come with private verandas (there are 173 en-suite rooms in total), and I adore the roaming zebras who are permanent guests here. After a swim in the Devil’s Pool on Livingstone Island, I head to the Anantara Spa, where I’m treated to a personalised, rejuvenating facial overlooking the water. At the end of the day, I retire to my light and spacious suite — perfect for spending time reflecting on an unforgettable stay in a beautiful place.
