Jo Fletcher-Cross travels Club class from London to Montreal
Seats: Comfortable leather club class seats with adjustable headrests were laid out in a 2x2x2 formation, over two rows. Seat width is a generous 21.5 inches, with a pitch of 36 inches, allowing for plenty of leg room.
Food & drink: Lunch was served on proper china and glassware. Lamb and spiced rice was accompanied with a delicious glass of Corbieres. We were also offered an Irish coffee, complete with whipped cream. A snack was offered part way through the flight, and about an hour and a half before landing we were given a calzone and
a warm cookie.
Entertainment: As I was in the front row, my individual screen was on the wall in front of me. There was a decent selection of new and classic films and TV series, plus games, music and a kids section. Dual-language in-flight magazine Atmosphere was a bright, cheery read.
Service: Air Transat’s desks are in a separate area downstairs at Gatwick and there was a huge queue for the bag drop. It took so long to get through that we were in danger of missing the flight. However, service on the aircraft was extremely attentive and friendly.
