Daniel Hooper jets off from London to Dallas with American Airlines
Seats: Sleek charcoal-coloured business seats are laid out in a 1x2x1 pattern and are fully reclinable
— amazingly, there was even enough legroom for all 6’2” of me stretched out. With numerous pockets and storage, there was plenty of space to get settled for the flight ahead.
Food & drink: Dinner was a very nice grilled pork chop with Jerusalem artichoke and roasted cabbage, enjoyed with a craft beer from the New Belgium Brewing Company in Colorado. By the time the light meal trolley reached me there was only one choice left: a pleasant Japanese rice bowl. A snack bar was also available with a generous selection of crisps, sandwiches and sweets.
Entertainment: With Bose noise-cancelling headphones, a decent selection of the latest films and TV shows and classic arcade games, there was enough to keep me amused. For those who are more analogue, a number of newspapers and an interesting in-flight magazine
were available.
Service: Fast, friendly and attentive (although a requested cup of tea failed to materialise).
